I recently received a package of stuff from Elizavecca, a Korean skin care company, and this sheet mask was one of the items in there.
I love sheet masks. My skin tends to be on the dry side (and at 30 years old, I’m starting to head into mature skin territory), and sheet masks always make my face feel so soft and supple. According to my friend who translated the Korean for me, the mask contains 1,000ppm snail extract (basically as saturated as it can get) and 24k gold, and helps to reduce pore size, improving the plumpness/firmness of your skin, brightening dark spots, amongst other good stuff. (Really, snail extract is amazing.) Sheet masks should always be used on a freshly washed face.
The Elizavecca mask comes in a very flashy package. It’s gold and shiny, and taking a picture of it was a pain in the butt because of how reflective it is.
There was a good amount of essence inside though, but not so much to make the mask drippy or that there was a ton left inside the package. No, it seemed to be just the right amount. The scent is clean and pleasant and not overpowering, and while I had the mask on, I felt a slight cooling sensation.
I left the mask on for 20 minutes, and then, as per the directions, patted the remaining essence on my face into my skin. I followed it with a regular moisturizer (after the “after” photo below was taken) to lock in the good stuff.
There wasn’t a huge difference, but my skin definitely felt more hydrated and supple afterwards, and the mask also seemed to calm down the redness around my breakouts. For maximum effectiveness, sheet masks should be used at least 4 times a week.
I would definitely recommend this mask to anyone with dry or mature skin, and I would definitely use this product again.
